[Case Study] Packaging and Pharmaceutical Manufacturer PVC-based Water-based Heat Sealant

Reduction of VOC emissions is possible! Successful development of a water-based heat sealant for PTP used in PVC containers for environmental considerations!

In the packaging and pharmaceutical manufacturing sector, there were concerns such as "wanting to bond aluminum foil and polyvinyl chloride" and "wanting to improve the coating environment." In response, we developed a water-based heat sealant that achieves performance equivalent to solvent types by applying it over a primer. As a result, since the solvent is water and alcohol, it has become possible to reduce VOC emissions when using the heat sealant, and there is almost no odor, which has improved the working environment. 【Case Summary】 ■ Concerns - Wanting to bond aluminum foil and polyvinyl chloride - Wanting to improve the coating environment - Seeking to make a water-based heat sealant for PVC that is environmentally friendly and cannot be solvent-based ■ Solution - Developed a water-based heat sealant that achieves performance equivalent to solvent types by applying it over a primer. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us through our website.

[Case Study] Packaging and Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Water-Based Heat Sealant

Performance equal to or better than solvent types! Successful water-based formulation of PTP heat seal agents for PP containers to meet environmental standards!

In the packaging and pharmaceutical manufacturing sector, there were concerns such as "We want to reduce the content of organic solvents to decrease VOC emissions." In response, we developed a coating agent that exhibits adhesion equal to or greater than that of conventional solvent types, using only alcohol and water as solvents. As a result, the use of water and alcohol as solvents allows for the reduction of VOC emissions, and the temperature at which adhesion begins in PTP packaging configurations is approximately -20°C (compared to our conventional products). [Case Overview] ■ Concerns - We want to use environmentally friendly coating agents. - We want to reduce the content of organic solvents to decrease VOC emissions. - We want to improve the coating environment for the coating agent. ■ Solution - Developed a coating agent that uses only alcohol and water as solvents. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us through our website.
